Weather Station with Color LCD & Atomic Time - Monitor Indoor/Outdoor Conditions

The weather station features a full-color display that provides current temperatures and humidity levels, along with future forecasts indicating whether it will be sunny, partly sunny, cloudy, rainy, stormy, or snowy. It boasts an accurate, self-setting atomic time and date with automatic daylight saving time updates. The device records minimum and maximum values and alerts you to extreme temperatures. It also displays the heat index and dew point.

The weather station will indicate low battery levels and the strength of the reception. Batteries are required (not included) for its operation.

To reset the weather station and outdoor sensor to their default "out-of-the-box" state, which often resolves issues, follow these steps:

1. Remove all power (batteries and AC) from the outdoor sensor and weather station.
2. Press one of the buttons on the weather station at least 20 times to clear the memory.
3. Verify that the weather station is blank before proceeding (there may be lines on the screen when there is no power).
4. Leave both units without power for 15 minutes (very important).
5. Plug the AC power cord into the wall outlet and then into the weather station.
6. Insert fresh batteries into the outdoor sensor.
7. Press the TX button on the outdoor sensor to transmit the RF signal.
8. Keep the outdoor sensor 5-10 feet from the weather station.
9. When the RF connection is established, the temperature will appear on the station. Allow the outdoor sensor and weather station to sit together for 15 minutes to establish a strong connection.
10. Do not press any buttons for 15 minutes.

For optimal 433MHz transmission, place the outdoor sensor no more than 300 feet (91 meters, open air) from the weather station.

When mounting the outdoor sensor, it is important to protect it from standing rain or snow and from direct sunlight, which can cause inaccurate readings. Mounting the sensor under an eave or deck rail works well. You can also construct a small roof or box for the sensor, ensuring it has proper ventilation. The sensor should be mounted on the north side to prevent the sun from causing incorrect readings. It should be placed at least 6 feet in the air to ensure a strong RF (radio frequency) signal. Avoid mounting the sensor on a metal fence, as this can significantly reduce the effective range. The outdoor sensor is water-resistant, but not waterproof.

The weather station features a full-color LCD display with weather icons, indicating the current conditions. It also has an atomic-set, accurate time and date with automatic daylight saving time adjustments. The outdoor humidity range is 19% to 97% RH, and the indoor humidity range is also 19% to 97% RH. The unit must be plugged in for continuous backlight, and it can monitor both indoor and wireless outdoor temperature (in Fahrenheit or Celsius) and humidity, with recorded minimum and maximum values. Temperature alerts (for both indoor and outdoor) are available, and the device requires a 5.0V AC adapter for primary power, with 3 "AAA" alkaline batteries for backup (not included). Temperatures below -20°F (-28.8°C) require lithium batteries in the outdoor sensor. The weather station also features a forecast tendency indicator and a signal strength icon for sensor transmission.
